The Old Aurora Colony Museum in charming Aurora, Oregon, will be covered in quilts, both old and new, for our 47th annual quilt show. This year's theme is "Rhapsody in Blue," and we'll showing some quilts that are predominantly blue or that feature musical themes. We'll have a variety of other colors and eras represented as well--all in the charming setting of the museum's five homes and buildings. The museum will be literally covered in quilts as we celebrate this beautiful art form!
Debbie Miller and Peggy Gelbrich will be our featured quilters. Come see what they bring to share, and visit with them for a while in the Kraus House, where we will also have some wonderful vintage quilts for sale. These were donated to the museum for fundraising purposes by our dear friend Charlotte Wirfs of Jacksonville, OR. Then step into the cozy Steinbach Log Cabin for a cup of coffee or some apple cider, nibble a cookie, and check out our fantastic Colony Store, filled with fat quarters, sewing notions, books, yarns and projects.
It's always a treasure hunt!
Admission to the show is just $7.50, or free if you have
a special event pass associated with being a museum member.
